For the first time in our lives, we prepared and ate an Ayurveda Thanksgiving Feast! Being Chicagoans and having nowhere to go for Thanksgiving, we felt like little orphans here in Santa Fe. So we decided to attend a cooking class and feast on Thanksgiving Day given by Agni Ayurveda. Wow! Little did we know we had just stepped into the realm of Ayurveda food and our lives were forever changed. We, being semi-raw vegan for eight years, had never eaten such food—it was like eating art! The food had warmth, and it was like eating perfumes, flowers, and hues. For the remainder of our days, we will remember and cherish our Thanksgiving 2013 in Santa Fe. We were blessed. We were given love and laughter. We were given hands-on experience in Ayurveda cooking, plus recipes and priceless information. Prakash introduced us to spices and flavors we didn't know existed, and how they relate to optimal nutrition, health and healing. Along the way, we even learned a few cooking tricks that were new to me after 25 years as a chef! We will take what we learned back to our Ronora Lodge and Retreat Center in Michigan. You are in our hearts forever and ever. Thank you again.
